If there was any award show that I could go to and strut down the red carpet it would be the Grammy’s. This award show is filled with tons of music, celebs, and of course fashion.  To me, the Grammy’s is the chance to experiment with style and wear something unique and funky.  So I love when I see my favorite celebs take some fashion risks on the red carpet.  Keep on scrolling to read all about my favorite looks from last night’s big event. Solange Knowles Solange Knowles dazzled in a metallic gold dress by Gucci.  The Knowles family can do no wrong like did you watch Beyoncé’s performance? I was left speechless.  Anyway, back to Solange’s dress.  I like how her dress features some of the hottest trends this season like the beautiful pleated design and exaggerated sleeve.  Her dress is glamorous but at the same time playing around with different shapes and structures. Katy Perry I can’t get over Katy Perry’s new hair.  I love the platinum blonde color.  She is totally jumping on the bandwagon that blondes do have more fun.  To be honest, at first Katy’s dress did not make my best dressed list, but…

The end of February means a few things… spring break is near, it stays light longer, no more snow (hopefully), and most importantly the Academy Awards.  I sometimes get the Sunday night blues, but not on the Sunday when the Academy Awards are on. This year, I was surprised at how many movies I knew.  Honestly, I did not see one movie nominated but I knew the plot and the characters, so that’s all that counts right?  Fashion aside, I am so happy Leonardo DiCaprio won his first Oscar; it was about time, but for some reason, I had a feeling he was not going to win (anyone else have that same feeling?).  Although, I did not stay up to see him accept his award, I checked Twitter when I randomly woke up in the middle of the night at 3 A.M. and was so pleased he was the winner. Now back to fashion. I have to admit I was not overly impressed with the looks on the red carpet. Nothing blew me away, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a best and worst dressed list, so below you will find my picks of celebrities who scored a 10…

Last year, my very first post on my blog was my round up of the best and worst dressed from the Golden Globes, so it is tradition to share my thoughts on this year’s fashion at the Golden Globes. My fashion senses were tingling on Sunday while watching the 73rd Golden Globes Award Show.  Next to Christmas, my favorite time of the year has to be award season.  Nothing beats watching the celebrities strut on the red carpet while wearing elaborate gowns. For the most part, every celebrity stunned in their designer dresses and set a high expectation for future award shows.  I noticed a few popular trends at the Golden Globes, including capes, cut outs, hues of reds and pinks, plunging necklines, and pockets. Someday I hope to be one of the correspondents reporting from the red carpet, but for right now I’ll use my blog to share my fashion do’s and don’ts from the red carpet.  Keep on reading to see which celebrities hit a homerun when it came to their style and which celebrities should have reconsidered their dress choice.   Best Dressed   Lady Gaga- After seeing Lady Gaga perform at Madison Square Garden a few…

My Sunday was full of studying because my statistic and psychology professor decided to schedule our first exam on the same day. To say I was stressed is an under statement. I had to spend the majority of my afternoon and night studying, which meant I couldn’t spend all night watching the 2015 Grammy’s. I always enjoy watching this award show, because it recognizes great talent in the music industry. Since I couldn’t spend my Sunday night watching the Grammy’s, I decided to only watch the red carpet special. I deserved a 2-hour study break, right? It was well worth it because watching the stars walk down the red carpet is my favorite part of any awards show. Once again, most of the stars strutted down the red carpet in bedazzled and embellished dresses. Just like with every major award shows, I have picked out the best and worst looks. So keep on reading to see who made my list.  Best Dressed Gwen Stefani- Hands down, Gwen Stefani was my favorite look of the night. Her semi-sheer jumpsuit by Atelier Versace looked great on the red carpet. I love the fit of jumpsuit. The sheer design on top and the…

A Day (Dress) In May            It’s about time the sun has peaked out from behind the clouds.  Although, still on the chilly side, the bright sunny days have inspired me to wear some of my new, favorite daytime dresses.  Nothing is better than those days where you can just throw on a dress rather than worry about wearing jeans and finding a matching top.  Dresses like the one in today’s post are the best because they act as a blank slate, meaning you can wear pretty much whatever you want with the dress to capture your own personal style.  Keep on reading to see how I transform a basic dress into one stylish look with only a few pieces.          So the formula for a simple, yet stylish outfit is a no brainer. First start with a basic piece.  In my case, I chose to wear my favorite new dress from Tobi.com.  This dress is described as the perfect “day dress,” and I totally agree.  This dress with a subtle olive colored tie-dye pattern and the ruffle overlay is perfect to wear to any day event.  Think graduation parties, summer barbeques, pool parties and much more.…
