College Fashion Week

Four more classes left, one philosophy paper to write, and a psychology test to take and then it’s finally time to hop on a train to New York City, again.  Remember when I mentioned LivForStyle was heading on some crazy adventures?  Well in today’s post I will be talking about one of those events. Catch me at College Fashion Week this Saturday, October 1st from 6-9 p.m. at Venue 404 in New York City.  Are you interested in attending?  Keep reading for more information on an event, you won’t want to miss.          It’s crazy to think that this… View Post

My Commute Playlist

My 45-minute train ride to and from Grand Central Station consists of napping, thinking, and writing blog posts all while listening to music. I get through the not so fun commute with a little help from Spotify music. Just like not having one style of fashion I enjoy wearing, I don’t have one style of music I enjoy listening to. I listen to all sorts of genres of music, like rap, pop, alternative, and techno. However, the music I tend to listen to on the train are songs that will pump me up in the morning for the new day… View Post

Patch It Up

It’s not hard to tell from my three back-to-back denim related posts, that lately I’m obsessing over all things denim. Sarcasm aside denim is a major staple in any wardrobe. Today I’m not focusing on jeans or a denim dress but an oversized vintage denim jacket to which I added my own personal style. Overall, this outfit just makes me feel cool. I’m convinced it is the jean jacket because it is not an ordinary denim jacket but a denim jacket with a variety of patches. I discovered that iron on patches were a huge trend in the 80s. Shop Now: Summer Must Haves

Shop Now: Summer Must Haves Summer might not officially start for another month, but the heat has got us excited about all the upcoming adventures and holiday getaways.  The traveling, the beach, the parties, makes summer arguably everyone’s favorite season, and we love all the lightweight clothing that come with it.  Although all the accessories of winter and spring might be fun to pile on, let’s face it: as Travel Republic iterates, we long for the days that we can leave the layers behind. We all have our own summer essentials and favorites, but we’re curious as to what the… View Post

Subtle Pops Of Color

Hello again.  So sorry for my absence on my blog.  For all of those who don’t know I decided to go blonde and I was to busy testing out the theory if blondes do have more fun.  Just kidding (well half kidding).  I did dye my hair blonde but I have been super busy with school work. Being a second semester junior is not easy.  But now I have more time for my blog and fun things, so I will get back to you on the theory if blondes do have more fun. I am so excited to show you… View Post

NYFW RECAP

If you were in hibernation this past week or living under a rock, let me give you a recap of one of the biggest events in the fashion industry, New York Fashion Week. This year, New York Fashion week began on Thursday, September 10 and ended the following Thursday, September 17. Throughout the week, designers featured their Spring and Summer 2016 collections. I find it fascinating that autumn hasn’t even begun and we are already focused on spring and summer 2016. I wish I was able to post a recap everyday during Fashion Week, but being a full time college… View Post

Current Beauty Obsessions

No shock here that I have some beauty products that I have been obsessing over. These last couple of weeks, I have been using the new palettes that I got for Christmas. I also feel like many drugstore brands have released new items, so whenever I go to the drugstore I am drawn to the new displays. I love getting new makeup because whenever I use new makeup I feel like a new person. Keep on reading to see the products that I can’t get enough of.  (Maybelline Face Studio Master Conceal Camouflage Concealer, Maybelline Color Elixir, Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette, Urban… View Post
