To be honest, this was the first Christmas season that I was really stressed out.  I don’t know why this year, but to put it in perspective, we are less than a week away until Christmas and I’m not even done with my Christmas shopping, close, but not done.  I blame how late Thanksgiving was this year.  I felt like Thanksgiving came and went and then it was already December and now Christmas.  I know I’m not alone in this world who are last minute shoppers, so I decided to create this very last minute…

It’s been a hot minute since I wrote a blog post. I guess you can call me an “occasional blogger.” One who wishes she was like all the motivated and consistent bloggers she follows on Instagram but instead works a full time job and then after spends her little bit of free time going to the gym, going out with friends, or just unplugging from the social media world.  When the weekends do come and I have a spare minute, I haven’t made the effort to take photos, especially since now it’s freezing outside or…

Two weeks ago, I finally visited the ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.  Although, I live a short walk across the park from the museum, it took me this long to visit the exhibit, which started in May and ends beginning of September.  The star-studded Met Gala back on the first Monday in May commenced the unique theme of the exhibit.  This year’s theme was inspired by Susan Sontag’s essay “Notes on ‘Camp’” published in 1964. After skimming her essay in preparation for the Met Gala and exhibit, I interpreted…

Oh hello summer, we meet again. After a long, freezing winter and a chilly, rainy spring in New York City, I’m thrilled to finally break out my collection of lightweight, colorful summer dresses. There’s nothing better than just throwing on a dress, adding a few simple accessories and walking out the door. Plus, they keep you somewhat cool now that the temperatures are heating up in the city, and if you live in the city you know that feeling of waiting underground for the subway in that cloud of hot, stale air.  Today’s dress is…

Cue my favorite quote from one of my favorite movies, The Devil Wears Prada: “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” I have to agree with Miranda Priestly, it seems like florals are always the ‘it’ pattern for every season. Although, you can count on any store or runway featuring this print, I can’t complain because I love everything flowers. Today’s style post, not only features florals, but it’s also a dress that is perfect for the upcoming warmer days and even weddings!  Wedding season is officially here, because whenever I log onto any of my social media…

The minute the weather gets above 65 degrees it’s officially dress, skirt, or in this case romper season, so say hello to my pale legs.  Most likely, I’m probably blinding people with my pasty legs, but don’t worry because whenever the sun is out and I have some down time, I’ve been working on my pre summer glow by sitting in Central Park. Although, by the looks of these photos, back-up reinforcement like some sort of self tanner might be needed. Anyway, in today’s style post, I busted out my new romper from Cotton On. …

It’s been a while since I last posted but I’m back.  Also, I guess you can say that LivForStyle is going through some sort of a rebrand.  By rebrand, I mean I’ll be slowly updating my website template, logos, profile, Instagram profile photo, etc etc.  I think this thought of a rebrand all started when I noticed how lucky I’m to live in New York City and how often I don’t feature the beauty of the city on my blog.  I want to start making New York City a new character on my blog, where…

On Sunday, May 3rd, I was able to take a much-needed break from studying for finals and took a trip to New York City. Most of my adventures to NYC are special, but this trip was extra special because I was attending my first ever The Makeup Show with my best friend, Christina, by my side. Coffee in hand, we both boarded the train at 9 A.M. and arrived in the city an hour later. The entire train ride, it felt like I had ants in my pants, or in my case my romper. I was…
