When YouTube was my main platform, one of my favorite videos to film was my monthly favorites. I always looked forward to the end of any month to collect all of my favorite products and review them for my viewers. If you want to catch a glimpse of a younger Liv in one of my Youtube videos, click here. It is always fun to take a trip back to the past. Anyway back to the present. It didn’t occur to me until one of my blogging brainstorm sessions that I should bring my monthly favorites posts to the LivForStyle blogging community, so that is exactly what I am doing in today’s post. First, I want to talk about the makeup palette that has been front and center of my makeup collection. The Make Up Forever Artist Palette Volume 1 in the color Nudes You Need has been my go-to for all of my makeup looks. This palette features nine neutral toned colors, making it a staple to achieve neutral day-time looks or smokey, darker looks. Not only does this palette feature my favorite eye shadow colors, like gold, bronze, copper, and pewter, but the formula of each shade is super…

After a week of exams, writing lengthy final papers, and sleepless nights, a month-long break from college life is very much needed.  I can’t believe I’ve been home for a month. It has been nice catching up on sleep, hanging with the family, and spending more time on my blog.  However, my life at school is so different than life at home.  I find myself having more free time, and if you are a person like me who can’t sit still, I need to keep myself busy. Over my month-long break; I have kept myself busy by working part-time at a popular retail store, taking Zumba and Spinning classes, a lot of shopping, and watching a new TV series I found on TV Land. Although, I don’t like to just sit around and do nothing, spending the evening staying cozy and relaxing while watching TV is a nice change of pace because I know once I return to school I’ll have little time to myself. Over break, I got hooked on the first season of TV Land’s Original Show, Younger. I consider myself a fan of the show, so I am so happy that I received an official Younger t-shirt…

Last year, my very first post on my blog was my round up of the best and worst dressed from the Golden Globes, so it is tradition to share my thoughts on this year’s fashion at the Golden Globes. My fashion senses were tingling on Sunday while watching the 73rd Golden Globes Award Show.  Next to Christmas, my favorite time of the year has to be award season.  Nothing beats watching the celebrities strut on the red carpet while wearing elaborate gowns. For the most part, every celebrity stunned in their designer dresses and set a high expectation for future award shows.  I noticed a few popular trends at the Golden Globes, including capes, cut outs, hues of reds and pinks, plunging necklines, and pockets. Someday I hope to be one of the correspondents reporting from the red carpet, but for right now I’ll use my blog to share my fashion do’s and don’ts from the red carpet.  Keep on reading to see which celebrities hit a homerun when it came to their style and which celebrities should have reconsidered their dress choice.   Best Dressed   Lady Gaga- After seeing Lady Gaga perform at Madison Square Garden a few…

Dear 2015, Thanks for an amazing year. A year filled with ups and downs. A year filled with successes and fails. A year filled with challenges. But most importantly a year filled with lessons. I am very hopeful for 2016, but before I enter into the new year, I want to reflect on 2015 and what I learned. 1. Be present I have always heard to live in the moment, to stop and look, and take time to reflect. However, it was not until this autumn, I knew the real meaning of those phrases. The long walks to class have always been my time to think and to admire the beauty of my campus. When the fall season arrived, I remember taking time to look at the changing leaves, to admire the rich, bold colors and to start appreciating the little things. Now, whether I am with family or friends, whether I am in public or in my bedroom all by myself, I try to let go of my racing thoughts and just be mindful of my surroundings and most importantly be thankful. 2. Acknowledge your inner beauty This has always been a challenge of mine, but in 2015 I…

On Christmas morning, I woke up to a Christmas tree surrounded by gifts and the love from my dad, mom, sister, and of course my puppy brother Griffin. That morning, my family and I exchanged gifts, but most importantly we exchanged laughter and love. Christmas day is pretty low key. Ever since I could remember, Christmas day has always been hosted at my house. I am so lucky that my family all lives so close, so we can all celebrate the joyous day together. Although, I was in the comfort of my own home, I still took the opportunity to showcase my love for fashion and dress up; after all it is Christmas. Instead of the classic little black dress, I decided to switch it up and wear an olive colored dress. I bought this dress featuring a skater silhouette from Forever 21 last week and I have already worn it a couple times. Layer it with a sweater, a vest, and so on and you have one complete and stylish outfit. In my opinion, there are two essentials for the holiday season, faux fur and sparkles. I am saving the sparkles for New Years Eve, but for Christmas I…
