Spring Brights

The minute the weather gets above 65 degrees it’s officially dress, skirt, or in this case romper season, so say hello to my pale legs.  Most likely, I’m probably blinding people with my pasty legs, but don’t worry because whenever the sun is out and I have some down time, I’ve been working on my pre summer glow by sitting in Central Park. Although, by the looks of these photos, back-up reinforcement like some sort of self tanner might be needed. Anyway, in today’s style post, I busted out my new romper from Cotton On.  I don’t believe there is… View Post

Summer Stripes

If you slide open my closet door, one would instantly be able to tell my obsession with jumpsuits has spiraled out of control (if it wasn’t clear on my Instagram too).  Jumpsuits are my summer go-to and I have a feeling that because of the long pants, they will be transitioned into the autumn months with a light sweater or jacket.  Not so surprisingly, today’s post is all about my current favorite jumpsuit that recently was added to my collection, so keep on scrolling to see how I style yet another jumpsuit. If there is one store that feeds my… View Post

Denim On Denim

One style that I always felt funny wearing, just simply because I never perfected the look was denim on denim.  Whenever, I attempted to follow the denim on denim, I just felt like I was straight out of a movie or television show from the 90s, so I applaud the fashion bloggers who can wear perfectly head to toe denim.  In today’s style post, I finally broke through my fear of denim on denim and found the secret to perfecting the look…different shades of denim paired with other classic pieces from your wardrobe. One tip when it comes to matching denim… View Post

Pearls & Denim

In the fashion world, denim and pearls are the hottest combo right now.  Just think of denim and pearls as your next peanut butter and jelly, oil and vinegar, tomato soup and grilled cheese, and so on.  Insert whatever food combo or combo in general that goes great together to understand the point I am trying to make, denim and pearls are the next big thing.  Now a days, you can find this stylish combo on a jacket, blouse, or pair of jeans and in today’s post it’s all about my pearl studded denim jacket. Before, I get into the… View Post

Sparkle On

Although the holidays have quickly come and gone, Christmas decorations are slowly coming down, Santa has already slid down our chimneys (well only if you were good this year), but it doesn’t mean its time to put away the glitz and glam just yet.  In my fashion rule book, sparkles can be worn any day, any time, and any season.  I love finding subtle ways to incorporate some shine and sparkle into any outfit and today’s outfit perfectly achieves that look.  So keep on scrolling to see how I’m leaving a little sparkle behind everywhere I go. I feel like… View Post

Holding Onto Fall

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, the frigid temperatures seem to be here to stay, and it got me thinking that snowy weather is just around the corner.  I’ve never been a fan of the snow. Yeah, the first snow fall always looks beautiful and peaceful but after a few snow storms I’m over it.  Plus, have you ever walked through the streets of Manhattan while it’s snowing or after a big snow storm?  It’s a slushy mess that just makes my commute unbearable.  I’d rather an autumn wonderland than a winter wonderland, so before the snow arrives, I’m… View Post

It’s Turkey Time

T-minus one day until Turkey Day!  Are you mentally preparing for what you will be stuffing your face with on Thanksgiving? Or how about strategically planning for how you are gonna fit all the Thanksgiving specialties on one plate?  For me, I’m planning what I’m gonna wear for the Thanksgiving festivities.  For Thanksgiving my family gathers at my aunt’s house so I don’t have to worry about dressing too fancy but still want to look stylish yet still be comfy because it’s a long day of eating and drinking a couple glasses of wine (I’m gonna need it to get… View Post

Are You Faux Real?

Is it just me or are others really freaked out over how fast 2017 is speeding by.  I can’t believe next week is already Thanksgiving.  Maybe freaked out is the wrong phrase but it just boggles my mind we are already fully in holiday mode.  Just today I was listening to the radio on my way to the train station and I heard a Christmas ad and thought to myself isn’t it a little early for Christmas ads and that’s when it hit me…Christmas is next month.  Are you for real?  Or in this case are you FAUX real?  You… View Post

Buffalo (Plaid) Soldier

Does anyone know the difference between plaid, checkered, or the buffalo plaid pattern?  To me these three terms are interchangeable.  Although in the fashion world, plaid is described as different sized vertical and horizontal stripes of two or more colors, checkered is described as equal sized squares of two alternating colors, and buffalo plaid is described as a larger, square checkered pattern.  I had to brush off on my old skills of working retail at Madewell and learning all about their trendy flannels and all the different patterns so I settled on buffalo plaid to describe the shirt I’m wearing… View Post

From Summer To Pumpkin Season

So you celebrated the summer season with a bright and light decor that gave your home a fresh and exciting style?  Great!  But the problem with the summer style is that, once the Halloween pumpkins are out, it doesn’t look as stylish and exciting as it did in July.  It’s time to work on your transitional decor and to prepare the home for winter… but first, let’s think of the Halloween decor.  No, it doesn’t mean sticking a plastic skeleton on the shelf and hoping for the best.  It’s about getting the colors and feelings of fall into your home… View Post

Indian Summer

In·di·an sum·mer ˈindēən ˈˌsəmər/ noun – a period of unusually dry, warm weather occurring in late autumn. A mild, warm autumn or an Indian summer is certainly what New England has been experiencing throughout September and the early part of October.  I always felt that once Labor Day came the weather did a 180 and started to actually feel like fall. But lately temperatures have been abnormally high in the 70s and 80s.  The days have felt like a continuation of the dog days of summer, especially in New York City. A lot of the time I am overheating by… View Post
