Denim. According to Webster’s dictionary, denim is defined as a “strong usually blue cotton cloth that is used especially to make jeans.” Skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, flared jeans, jean jackets, jean shorts, denim skirts, jean shirts, and so on. It would be hard to imagine the world without denim or our favorite pair of jeans (you know ladies that pair you have in your dresser that’s your go to and make you feel confident and have people staring). When I was thinking of a post to write I wanted to put away my camera and focus on some fashion history because after all, fashion history is my favorite kind of history. I thought there had to be something cool that happened today and thanks to Google I learned that on this day, June 6, 1850 fashion designer Levi Strauss made his first pair of blue jeans. It’s no secret that I am a huge Lady Gaga fan.  From her unique personality, her distinct style, and her catchy music, I try to channel my inner Lady Gaga whenever I get the chance.  No, you will not find me wearing a meat dress like Lady Gaga did at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, but whatever chance I get, I love wearing more edgier pieces, especially ones that feature sparkles and of course some quirky detail.  Of course, I had to name this post after one of my favorite Lady Gaga songs, Teeth.  Recently, I can’t stop listening to all of Lady Gaga’s albums on Spotfiy, no wonder why Lady Gaga has been on my brain and has inspired some of my recent style choices.             Today’s look is totally different.  Maybe I would not wear it to class, but you bet I would wear this down to New York City or for a night out in town.
