Skinny jeans are so 2019. Don’t get me wrong, I still have plenty of skinny jeans in all different washes, some distressed, some not so much, and so on. But recently, I been gravitating towards more different fits of jeans. Think boyfriend jeans, mom jeans, and in this case, 70s flared, bell bottoms, boot cut, or however you would like to describe it.
With a new year upon us, I’ve been focused on cleaning and purging my apartment and that includes my closet. Mostly, because I just don’t have any more room in my tiny studio apartment and this year I want to do some redecorating, so I thought this is the ideal time to declutter.
Whenever I clean out my closet, I always find something tucked away that I haven’t worn for years. Enter these jeans from Express. These amazing bell bottom jeans are giving me retro vibes. They are fitted throughout the leg and right at the ankle, BAM, they have the perfect flared detail.
My problem when I make room in my closet is I always have the urge to fill it back up again. Plus, I had some leftover Christmas money, so naturally I had to go across the street and visit Century 21. I scored this inexpensive faux leather jacket from the brand BB Dakota. Am I the only one obsessing over this red color?
Did you really think I could wear a single outfit without any sort of animal print? HA! That will be the day. I couldn’t decide which animal print to choose, so why choose when you can wear both? I’m wearing my leopard printed belt from H&M and then my reptile printed heeled booties from DSW and by the brand Charles by Charles David.
Am I the only one who is “unofficially” retiring skinny jeans and experimenting with different cuts of denim? If so, let me know what are your favorite styles other than skinny jeans and what are your favorite brands of jeans that offer a variety of styles. Talk soon!
