Living On The Edge

One of the hardest questions I’m always asked is, “how do you define your style?” I always find this question challenging to answer because I can never accurately define my fashion style because it changes every day and every night, depending on my mood, the weather, my style inspirations, and so on.  Every fashion lover can agree the best thing about fashion is that you don’t have to stick to one style, but every day is a different day to use clothing to express yourself.  Some days you will find me dressing like a hippie, other days more preppy, even some days I’m wearing pink and more feminine pieces, or the complete opposite and wearing leather and all… View Post

Jump (suit) Into The Week

All week I spend the days eagerly waiting for the weekend and when the weekend finally arrives, I blink and then it’s Monday again.  Anyone else feel the same way?  Well I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, I know I did by exploring Central Park and visiting new, trendy restaurants in the West Village and Soho with friends. Ever since moving to the city, I feel like I have to be stylish 24/7 and even when I do “dress up” I’m always envious of everyone’s outfits in the city. Although, I don’t feel nearly as fashionable as everyone else… View Post

Denim On Denim

One style that I always felt funny wearing, just simply because I never perfected the look was denim on denim.  Whenever, I attempted to follow the denim on denim, I just felt like I was straight out of a movie or television show from the 90s, so I applaud the fashion bloggers who can wear perfectly head to toe denim.  In today’s style post, I finally broke through my fear of denim on denim and found the secret to perfecting the look…different shades of denim paired with other classic pieces from your wardrobe. One tip when it comes to matching denim… View Post

Mother + Daughter Style ft. Coastal

Today, on LivForStyle we have a very special guest…my beautiful, inspiring mom.  Mother’s Day is right around the corner (Sunday May 13th to be exact), so today’s style post is dedicated to my wonderful mom and all those great moms out there.  Most of the time, my mom is behind the scenes and plays a major role on the LivForStyle page as my photographer.  But, today instead of asking her to only take my photos, I decided to point the camera in her direction and let her have her blogger moment, I mean after all, she has learned from the best.    Recently, my mom… View Post

Come On Spring

Currently, wishing it was spring or at least warm outside, but as I write this sentence we just experienced snow this morning.  Something about the month of March I just despise.  Maybe it’s because I get my hopes up for warm weather and sadly get disappointed with cold temperatures and snow on the ground.  I wish after the holidays we can just fast forward to spring/summer, but sadly I am not Mother Nature and have zero control over the weather.  However, I do have control over my outfit, so today I am embracing spring like patterns and colors in the hope that Mother Nature will bless us with an early spring.  No better… View Post

Off Duty Style

Have you ever heard the term “off duty style?”  It usually refers to a model’s off duty style and I am far from being a model but I do have days where I don’t feel like dressing up or wearing tight, restrictive clothes.  Like today, I call this look my off duty style because it involves a simple, effortless formula…leggings, a loose fitting shirt, and sneakers. Keep on scrolling to read all about my off duty style. It’s still a mystery to me why leggings are so comfortable.  Maybe it’s just the cozy cotton material that adjusts with your body… View Post

Splat!

Remember when you were in elementary school and the highlight of your school day was art class, or was that just me? Well anyway doing arts and crafts was my favorite and still is, but there was no better project than one that involved paint.  It was always a blast to dip my paint brush in my favorite colored paints and splatter it on a white piece of paper.  Sure, it made a mess, but it was the mess that made the best looking art pieces. I reminisce about this project simply because my sweater in today’s style post reminds… View Post

How To Use Your Beauty & Fashion To Celebrate Life

Beauty and fashion, from a critical and pessimistic perspective, could be considered as a waste of time.  Surely it’s just time spent in narcissism, painting our faces and wearing the best new clothes in an effort to look better than the next person?  Surely we have too high an opinion of ourselves to even begin in the first place, and this is emphasized in the fact that we continually spend our money to achieve such an aim? Pexels Not so.  In fact, what was mentioned above could not be more wrong.  Fashion and beauty are not silly or inconsequential things.… View Post

Baby It’s Cold Outside

We all know my relationship with the winter season.  It’s not just the gloomy, snowy weather, the inability to tan by a pool, or checking the weather every day to make sure no snow is in the forecast that will cause an inconvenience.  What it’s really about  is not being able to show off a killer outfit because you have to worry about bundling up.  Luckily, this winter season I don’t have to worry about hiding a great outfit because my new coat makes a statement and also keeps me so warm.  Keep on reading to see how I’m keeping… View Post

Camo Cool

We all have that one article of clothing, one color, one pattern, and so on that we are just attracted to, you know that feeling whenever you walk by it you need to buy it even though you have several versions of it in your closet.  For me, that’s anything camo, especially camo jackets.  So of course on one of my recent shopping trips, a camo patterned jacket caught my eye and I had to purchase it to hang along with my 3 other camo jackets, oh well.  For me, camo is a neutral pattern, it never goes out of… View Post

Pearls & Denim

In the fashion world, denim and pearls are the hottest combo right now.  Just think of denim and pearls as your next peanut butter and jelly, oil and vinegar, tomato soup and grilled cheese, and so on.  Insert whatever food combo or combo in general that goes great together to understand the point I am trying to make, denim and pearls are the next big thing.  Now a days, you can find this stylish combo on a jacket, blouse, or pair of jeans and in today’s post it’s all about my pearl studded denim jacket. Before, I get into the… View Post
