It’s been a while since I last posted but I’m back. Also, I guess you can say that LivForStyle is going through some sort of a rebrand. By rebrand, I mean I’ll be slowly updating my website template, logos, profile, Instagram profile photo, etc etc. I think this thought of a rebrand all started when I noticed how lucky I’m to live in New York City and how often I don’t feature the beauty of the city on my blog. I want to start making New York City a new character on my blog, where I will be taking photos with the beautiful city in the background, as well as other content focused on New York City. So think best restaurants to visit, hidden gems to take photos, rants, and so on and so on.
I figure these posts will be super helpful for those who already live in the city or those who don’t, so they can get a glimpse into the city and maybe use my tips to plan an upcoming trip.
Just like everything when it comes to my blog, this will certainly be a work in progress, so I’ll be taking suggestions and feedback from you all throughout this journey.
Anyways, onto one of my most recent favorite outfits. The weather is finally warming up so I didn’t even need a jacket or didn’t even freeze when taking these photos. Winning!
Also I discovered a new place, Tavern on the Green. How many times do I just walk by this bar and restaurant located in the heart of Central Park and think nothing of it? Well today I found out that not only does it serve up the best selection of cocktails and food in a breathtaking atmosphere but it makes for the perfect backdrop for photos.
Back to my outfit. Lately, I been trying to switch up my collection of denim and incorporate more fits and styles than the usual skinny jeans. I bought this super flared cropped jeans from Old Navy last year and recently I been finding different ways to wear them.
One of my favorite ways is with some sort of kimono, graphic tee, or a jacket like this one. This white leather jacket with a floral and studded embellishment is from Forever 21 but I actually found it at Crossroads Trading (one of my favorite secondhand clothing retailer) for half the price. The perfect spring time jacket for sure!
My belt obsession continues, so I incorporated my favorite skinny silver belt from Target. Currently, I only have two belts in my collection but have a feeling this collection will be growing!
As for shoes and earrings, I’m just wearing two items that have appeared or will be appearing multiple times of my blog, which includes my open toed sandal like booties from Marshalls and my silver ball statement earrings from Express.
That’s it for a long overdue style post and little update on my blog. For all my New York City residents what are some of your favorite areas to shoot for photos? And for my non New York City residents where would you like me to take my camera next? Talk to you all soon!
