On the train ride to the city, I had Taylor Swift’s song Welcome to New York stuck in my head. Seriously, that song is my anthem. For all of you who don’t know, I love New York City. I love the culture, the shopping, and all the possibilities the city has to offer. I hope within the next couple of years, I can call New York City my home. But for now, I take frequent trips to the city that never sleeps. Last week I was on spring break. It was nice to take a break from college life and spend the week at home, catching up on sleep, relaxing, and working on my blog. One day, I was feeling adventurous and creative, so I hopped on the train and journeyed to New York City. I was determined to take tons of photos for my blog.  Today, I woke up to the birds chirping and the sun shining through my windows, it is finally starting to feel like spring. This winter has been brutal with all the snow and frigid temperatures. I never thought I would be so excited to see the temperature rise above 40 degrees. It felt like a heat wave. I was determined to make the best out of this beautiful, spring like day so I decided to take my camera outside and explore my surroundings. I didn’t have a specific outfit planned for this shoot. I am so sick of my worn out winter coat and sweaters so I finally looked through my recent spring purchases and put together an outfit debuting my new pieces. My Forever 21 long-sleeve top is nothing special, but that’s why I like it because I can wear it with anything. A huge trend for spring is stripes so this shirt follows that trend in a subtle way. Hands down, my Brandy Melville cream sweater is my most worn sweater in my closet. It is so comfortable and provides extra warmth on a spring day.
